30th June 2020. Volleyball England has issued a framework for returning to full unrestricted play for volleyball, beach volleyball and sitting volleyball. This document features four phases, from Phase 1: the previous situation whereby only outdoor volleyball training/exercise can take place where social distancing is maintained with those outside of your own household, to Phase 4: unrestricted play, when that is possible.
sitting VOLLEYBALL COMMUNITY - Award recipient. This award for £9.500 was to support our sitting volleyball teams across the country and the newly formed teams in receipt of Volleyball England Foundation grant funding, to ensure they return to play in as safe an environment.as we can make it. The award was used to provide cleaning and sanitiser for players and equipment to ensure we meet the COVID safety guidance provided by the Government and Volleyball England as we return to play indoors.

13th May 2021. Volleyball England has scheduled a webinar to help the community return to organising volleyball with confidence as part of Step 3 of the lockdown roadmap. Today we have released guidance that supports the return of indoor and outdoor volleyball, beach volleyball and sitting volleyball for adults and juniors from Monday, 17 th May. Updated guidance is largely based around the previously published sport-specific safety plans.
Return to play (Step 2) webinar. Volleyball England is organising a webinar to help the community return to organising indoor volleyball for juniors with confidence. Today we have released guidance that supports the return of indoor volleyball and sitting volleyball activity for juniors from Monday, 12th April as part of Stage 2 of the roadmap.
Return to Play - over £40,000 secured to support 40 clubs post COVID. When the Volleyball England Foundation was formed, one of the key things it wanted to do was to ensure that Volleyball secured a share of any funding opportunity that came along. To start the Foundation posted a wide range of funding streams that were there to support clubs in many different ways, support for young people, people with disabilities, clubs with BAME players or players from low socio economic backgrounds.
Return to play (Step 1B) webinar. Volleyball England is organising a webinar to help the community return to playing volleyball outdoors with confidence. Yesterday, we were finally able to release the confirmed guidance that supports the return of volleyball, beach volleyball and sitting volleyball outdoors from Monday, 29th March as part of Stage 1B of the roadmap.
10th July 2020. On Thursday 9 th July, the Government gave the green light for grassroots sports to return in England while also announcing that indoor sports facilities can re-open from 25 th July . For all disciplines of volleyball, it marked the most significant step back to normality since lockdown restrictions were introduced in March.
